Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 2 Timothy 3:13.

It was not God’s purpose that His people should be crowded into cities, huddled together in terraces and tenements. In the beginning He placed our first parents in a garden amidst the beautiful sights and attractive sounds of nature, and these sights and sounds He desires men to rejoice in today.

Light has been given me that the cities will be filled with confusion, violence, and crime, and that these things will increase till the end of this earth’s history.

It is time for our people to take their families from the cities into more retired localities, else many of the youth, and many also of those older in years, will be ensnared and taken by the enemy.

“Out of the cities; out of the cities!”–this is the message the Lord has been giving me.

The turmoil and confusion that fill these cities, the conditions brought about by the labor unions and the strikes, would prove a great hindrance to our work. Men are seeking to bring those engaged in the different trades under bondage to certain unions. This is not God’s planning, but the planning of a power that we should in no wise acknowledge. God’s word is fulfilling; the wicked are binding themselves up in bundles ready to be burned.

We are now to use all our entrusted capabilities in giving the last warning message to the world. In this work we are to preserve our individuality. We are not to unite with secret societies or with trade-unions. We are to stand free in God, looking constantly to Christ.

The ungodly cities of our world are to be swept away by the besom of destruction. In the calamities that are now befalling immense buildings and large portions of cities God is showing us what will come upon the whole earth. He has told us: “Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it [the coming of the Son of man] is near, even at the doors.” Matthew 24:32, 33.

Prayer Request from Justin Lyons, President Minnesota Conference:

We have a major campaign underway in which three conferences and 31 churches are working together to share Jesus with the Twin Cities.  We have 3.4 million people in the metro area who need to know God.  There are multiple training events and outreach events as well as a mailing of 300,000 Bible study request cards.  We have hundreds of members trained and willing to give Bible studies.  Each local congregation is to hold a reaping series in her locale.  The climax of this campaign is the Revelation Speaks Peace series with Shawn Boonstra from February 27th to March 28th, 2015 and a Spanish-language campaign with Elder Julio Chazarreta, Editor of El Centinela Magazine, from March 28th to April 4th, 2015.  Then every church is to have a follow-up series locally.

Thank you for your prayers and those of the prayer warriors on your distribution list.  Justin [from NAD prayer requests]

Dear Friends,

This week we had our Christmas program at church as so many other churches have this time of year. Just so, there is a soon-coming time when the redeemed will “sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.  Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.”  Rev 15:3, 4

What a grand and glorious concert that will be—much more beautiful than any earthly music!  The redeemed of all ages will gather before their Great Creator and sing praises to Him Who led them through all the troubles and trials of this sinful, old planet all the way to His Heavenly Home.  What a worship service that will be!  One by one and group by group will sing of His love and leading.  Moreover, the Great King of the Universe will sing to us!  Zephaniah tells us this: “The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”  Zeph 3:17  What will it be like to hear the Voice of God in song?  It is beyond our imaginings!  Paul tells us that our Dear Saviour also will rejoice in song. (Heb 2:9-12)  Isaiah speaks of this joy in that mighty prophecy of His sufferings.  “He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.”  Isa 53:11

Until we take part in that glorious worship Above, we can sing praises to our God as we go about our daily tasks.  Those songs of prayer and praise can keep our thoughts above the mundane to that which is of eternal worth.  Indeed, how can we give ear to the evil one if our hearts are uplifted in praise to the One Who loves us so?  Paul advises, “be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Eph 5:18-20

Let us sing praises unto our Great Redeemer as did his followers of old, who sang, “Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.  Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. Remember his marvelous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth. Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; show forth from day to day his salvation.”  I Chron 16:8-12, 23  “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”  Col 3:16,17  Amen!
