I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14.
When Adam came from the Creator’s hand, he bore, in his physical, mental, and spiritual nature, a likeness to his Maker. “God created man in his own image” (Genesis 1:27), and it was His purpose that the longer man lived the more fully he should reveal this image—the more fully reflect the glory of the Creator. All his faculties were capable of development; their capacity and vigor were continually to increase. Vast was the scope offered for their exercise, glorious the field opened to their research. The mysteries of the visible universe—the “wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge” (Job 37:16)—invited man’s study. Face-to-face, heart-to-heart communion with his Maker was his high privilege. Had he remained loyal to God, all this would have been his forever. Throughout eternal ages he would have continued to gain new treasures of knowledge, to discover fresh springs of happiness, and to obtain clearer and yet clearer conceptions of the wisdom, the power, and the love of God. More and more fully would he have … reflected the Creator’s glory.
But by disobedience this was forfeited. Through sin the divine likeness was marred, and well-nigh obliterated. Man’s physical powers were weakened, his mental capacity was lessened, his spiritual vision dimmed. He had become subject to death. Yet the race was not left without hope. By infinite love and mercy the plan of salvation had been devised, and a life of probation was granted. To restore in man the image of his Maker, to bring him back to the perfection in which he was created, to promote the development of body, mind, and soul, that the divine purpose in his creation might be realized—this was to be the work of redemption. This is the object of education, the great object of life.
To honor Christ, to become like Him, to work for Him, is … life’s highest ambition and its greatest joy.

—-update—Last night as the fire was getting very close to our house it suddenly turned in another direction even though there were 40 mph winds coming toward our house. My son is still alive and all my animals and my house is still standing!! I know that all this was a real answer to prayer and a miracle!!! My son is still there and once he leaves he will not be allowed back in until all the fires are out. They said the fires are not jumping the lines but that could change in a heartbeat. He is afraid that he may lose his good job if he doesn’t go back to work tomorrow. So he doesn’t know what to do. My mom is not doing good at all……Please continue praying for her and the rest of us. Dear Friends,
Our Dear Saviour has given us signs so we may be ready to meet Him in the air. (I Thes 4:16, 17) Our Loving Redeemer warns, “many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits.” “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
Matt 24:11; 7:15,16; Isa 8:20 Paul warns of a time when the message given from the pulpit will be “all is well.” They will give the people the message they want to hear rather than the message that they need to prepare. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doct! rine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” “When they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” 2 Tim 4:3,4; 1 Thes 5:3
In these last days, our Great King urges us to, “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” Isa 58:1 Through Ezekiel, He explains, “Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is tak! en away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. . . . As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die?” Eze 33:2-11 Here is a website that is spreading the truth of the signs of Christ’s coming https://www.rapturetruth.com/ There are many items on it that can help us to discern truth from the errors of these last days.
May we heed the warnings given throughout God’s Holy Word. May we be alert to the rapidly fulfilling signs of His coming. May we, in turn, warn others that they, too, may be ready for “the end of all things is at hand.” 1 Peter 4:7 Get ready! Get ready! Get ready!
