Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25.
Never entertain the thought that you can be Christians and yet withdraw within yourselves. Each one is a part of the great web of humanity, and the nature and quality of your experience will be largely determined by the experiences of those with whom you associate…. Then let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together.
Many declare that it is certainly no harm to go to a concert and neglect the prayer meeting, or absent themselves from meetings where God’s servants are to declare a message from heaven. It is safe for you to be just where Christ has said He would be…. Jesus has said, “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20. Can you afford to choose your pleasure and miss the blessing?
If Christians would associate together, speaking to each other of the love of God, and of the precious truths of redemption, their own hearts would be refreshed, and they would refresh one another.
All should have something to say for the Lord, for by so doing they will be blest. A book of remembrance is written of those who do not forsake the assembling of themselves together, but speak often one to another. The remnant are to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony…. We should not come together to remain silent; those only are remembered of the Lord who assemble to speak of His honor and glory and tell of His power; upon such the blessing of God will rest, and they will be refreshed.
We should improve every opportunity of placing ourselves in the channel of blessing…. The convocations of the church, as in camp meetings, the assemblies of the home church, and all occasions where there is personal labor for souls, are God’s appointed opportunities for giving the early and the latter rain.

Prayer Requests
—-Prayers for whatever is wrong with my car to be something that is not crazy expensive! Dropped it off last night and haven’t even heard back from mechanic yet. Super worried. Dannielle
—-Yesterday my husband and I were evacuated from Paradise California because of fire. It has grown to over 18,000 acers. The Feather River Hospital has been partially destroyed. As we drove out we were surrounded by fire. Over 200 structures are known to have burned, but that number may be as high as 1000. As we drove out we watched 80 foot tall trees aflame. Gratefully our lives were spared. We don’t know about our home. Please pray for Paradise and the salvation of all in the area. Shirley [They are evacuating Chico now.
—-Please pray for my daughter Salena, she’s experiencing some lymph node pain and breast discharge and she doesn’t have any insurance. Not only that but me, my mother and one of my sisters have had breast cancer. Please pray for her. Sandra

Dear Friends,
A friend of my children when they were at Union College posted a prayer request for her mother who was fleeing the fire that is raging in California. As she was driving through the fire, she could hear trees and homes exploding. “Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily. For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.” Ps 102:1-3
God spared her life and she got to safety. Her car is pock-marked from the burning embers that fell upon it and is covered with pitch from the burning pine trees. Truly it was a miracle that her car did not burn like others that she passed had. Praise God! We have Someone Who answers our cry for help no matter what our situation! We have Someone Who shed His own precious blood for our salvation. Our Redeemer is mighty to save! Isaiah prophesied of Him, “Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me.” Isa 63:1-3 Although Jesus made provision for our salvation, we must ask for this blessing of all blessings. We must desire it with out whole heart. Jesus gave a parable that shows how even someone who is the very opposite of God would answer a petition that is pressed continually upon him. Just so, we are to ask and keep on asking, knock and keep on knocking, seek and keep on seeking for God’s blessings—daily pray for a new heart, daily seek for a closer relationship with Him Who gave His All for us. “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.” Luke 18:1-8 How much more will our Loving Judge answer our prayer for deliverance. How much more will He shower His rich blessings upon us. How much more will He grant our sincere requests if they are for our good.
Our Dear Saviour assures us, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Matt 7:7-11 “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you….If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.” John 15:7-10
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Heb 4:16 Let us not be careless with His great gift of mercy but be as earnest as was the man who found a treasure buried in a field, buried it again, went home and sold all that he had, and bought that field. (Matt 13:44) “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Gal 6:9
