Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation 22:12.
Our work here is soon to close, and every man will receive his reward according to his own labor. I was shown the saints’ reward, the immortal inheritance, and saw that those who had endured the most for the truth’s sake will not think they have had a hard time, but will count heaven cheap enough
Every day bears its burden of record of unfulfilled duties, of neglect, of selfishness, of deception, of fraud, of overreaching. What an amount of evil works is accumulating for the final judgment! When Christ shall come, “His reward is with him, and his work before him,” to render to every man according as his works have been. What a revelation will then be made! What confusion of face to some as the acts of their lives are revealed upon the pages of history.
Every good and every wrong act, and its influence upon others, is traced out by the Searcher of hearts, to whom every secret is revealed. And the reward will be according to the motives which prompted the action.
The coming of Christ is near and hasteth greatly. The time in which to labor is short, and men and women are perishing.
We need the converting power of God to take hold of us, that we may understand the needs of a perishing world. The burden of my message to you is: Get ready, get ready to meet the Lord. Trim your lamps, and let the light of truth shine forth into the byways and the hedges. There is a world to be warned of the near approach of the end of all things.
Let us seek a new conversion. We need the presence of the Holy Spirit of God with us, that our hearts may be softened and that we may not bring a harsh spirit into the work. I pray that the Holy Spirit may take full possession of our hearts. Let us act like children of God who are looking to Him for counsel, ready to work out His plans wherever presented. God will be glorified by such a people, and those who witness our zeal will say: Amen and amen.

Prayer Requests
—-My sister, Shirlee, has to be at the hospital at 5:00 am today, Sept. 8 for her cancer surgery. They are removing the left, lower lobe of her lung. I’m praying for all to go well, for the doctors and all who take care of her, and for Shirlee, of course. She has dealt with all of this with amazing courage and trust in God. I’m praying she can heal quickly with as little pain as possible and all cancer will be gone. Thank you for praying with me! Carol
—–Please continue to keep Kirsten uplifted in prayer, that only God’s will is done in her life. She is truly seeking that now… Nicole
—–Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of the people of Northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS and its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians across this region. Mary
—-Please pray for Brian as he is studying at AFCOE. Also pray for T that he may overcome his addictions and give his heart fully to Jesus. Rose
—–Please keep me and my family in your prayers. My mom passed away this morning. I am going to really miss her. Debbie

Ron has always been fascinated by airplanes. From the time he could remember, he had wanted to fly one. When he reached his teen years, he began taking flying lessons whenever he had enough saved to do so. After we were married, he continued learning to fly. While he was studying for ground school, he asked me to help him learn the material. During that time, I learned many things about airplanes that I had never even dreamed existed. Together we learned how to figure weights and balances, how to plot our course, about wing tip vortices, etc.
Those wingtip vortices were a phenomenon that I had never heard of before. It was fascinating to think that when an airplane flies through the air, it creates a whirlpool of air, much like a tornado, that is so strong that it can flip over a smaller plane. It seemed so strange, so unreal, but the unfortunate pilot who enters one of these vortices soon finds out the reality of this theory.
One day, years later, the atmospheric conditions were just right to see that phenomenon. It was raining and as I was in the car, waiting for Eileen to get something from the store, a jet flew low above my head. It was landing at a nearby airport. As I watched it, I saw long, thin “tornadoes” coming from each wingtip. It was amazing.
So it is in our life. Just as an airplane affects the air as it slices its way through it, so our attitudes, our words, our actions affect those around us for good or for bad. Our Dear Saviour tells us, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matt 5:14-16 “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no Saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.” Isa 43:10-12;44:8
Think of it! We have the privilege, the duty, the responsibility to rightly represent the One Who gave His life for us. How careful we should be! Our thoughts, our words, our actions can witness for our Loving Saviour or against Him. They can draw those around us to Jesus or cause them to turn away. One unguarded moment in our experience can turn someone away so thoroughly that they can never be reached again. Fearful consequences! How much we need the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, directing our steps, shining through us.
We are commissioned by the Great King of the Universe to go into this world as His witnesses as He bade us in Matthew 28, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” That teaching, that witnessing is done not only by what we say, but by what we do. In His great prayer for His followers, Jesus prayed, “As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; John 17:18-20 Paul urges us, “being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.” Titus 3:7,8
Let us determine that our actions will match our profession. Let us allow the Holy Spirit so to work through us, that we may become channels of blessing to the precious souls around us. Let us pray as did David, “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Incline not my heart to any evil thing.” Ps 19:14; 141:3
